My name is Jared Condon. I'm a 40-year-old Tasmanian and a follower of Christ. While recovering from addiction, I began researching my family heritage and discovered that the Condon clan were Norman Irish lords who held castles in County Cork, Ireland. They fought for their Catholic faith against Queen Elizabeth I in the Desmond Rebellions of the late 1500s. They lost everything — their lands, their titles, their castle — but never their conviction.
Something lit up in me reading that story. My first idea was ambitious — perhaps a little ego-driven. I pitched the Vatican on a beverage brand that would fund the restoration of our clan's ruined castle as a museum to honour all those who died for their faith. I would purchase the ruins myself and donate them. I thought it was inspired.
The Vatican never replied. I got discouraged. And in that discouragement, I found myself back in familiar darkness.
And so Seven Virtues Beverages was born — not from ambition, but from redirection. Not for a castle, but for the Kingdom. Not for the Vatican, but for everyone who calls on the name of Christ.
